Melatai Resources Sdn. Bhd. is a Sarawak-based civil engineering and construction company established on 29 July 2015. The company specialises in civil engineering, construction, mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as general supplies and services. It is registered as a CIDB Grade G7 and UPKJ Class A Bumiputera contractor in Sarawak.
The company undertakes a wide range of infrastructure and construction projects, including roadworks, drainage systems, bridges, building works and other essential infrastructure development. This project focuses on the development and expansion of village infrastructure to support local growth, running from March 2023 to 19 February 2025.
Menaiktaraf Jalan & Peparitan di kawasan Bukit 5 Nature Reserve & Kampung Usahajaya Sentosa Sibu (Phase 1)
Client: Jabatan Kerja Raya Sarawak (JKR)
The project involved the upgrading of roads and drainage systems within the Bukit Lima Nature Reserve and Kampung Usahajaya, Sentosa, Sibu, under Phase 1. The project was implemented to improve road accessibility, enhance drainage infrastructure, and provide safer and more efficient connectivity for the surrounding communities and users of the area. The project was successfully completed on 24th December 2025.

The Construction & Completion of Proposed Kampung Ensengei Melayu Extension Samarahan Division
Client: Jabatan Tanah dan Survei Sarawak
Project Duration: 21 November 2024 – 20 November 2026
Commencing in November 2024, this project aims to develop and extend village infrastructure, supporting community growth in Samarahan Division.
Projek Naiktaraf Bekas Jalan-Jalan Balak Negeri Sarawak (Fasa IV) – Bahagian Betong
Client: Jabatan Kerja Raya Sarawak
Project duration: 9 May 2025 – 8 August 2027
The Upgrading of Former Logging Roads in Sarawak – Phase IV, Betong Division is an infrastructure improvement project aimed at upgrading selected former logging roads to provide safer, more reliable, and better-quality access for rural communities.
The upgraded roads will improve connectivity between rural settlements, agricultural areas, plantations, and nearby towns, while facilitating the movement of people, agricultural produce, goods, and essential services. The project is also expected to support local economic activities, improve access to public facilities, and contribute to the socio-economic development of communities within Betong Division.
Overall, the project seeks to transform existing former logging roads into more functional and sustainable rural access routes, thereby improving mobility, connectivity, and the quality of life for the surrounding communities.
Construction and Completion of Proposed Jalan Lada Extension, Sibu Division (Stage 2 – Road Pavement)
Client: Jabatan Tanah dan Survei Sarawak
Project duration: 08 December 2025 – 15 June 2027
This project involves the construction and completion of the proposed Jalan Lada Extension in Sibu Division, focusing on Stage 2 – Road Pavement works. The scope includes pavement construction to improve road connectivity, traffic flow, and overall accessibility in the area. Upon completion, the project will support smoother transportation and contribute to infrastructure development within Sibu Division.
Construction and Completion of Remaining Works for 1 Block of Klinik Kesihatan (Jenis 6), 3 Blocks of Quartes (6 Units) & Ancillary Buildings on Lot 6, Block 46, Kumbong Land District, Long Busang, Batang Balui, Belaga, Kapit Division, Sarawak
Client: Jabatan Kerja Raya Sarawak
Project Duration: 12 November 2025 – 11 July 2027
The project involves the construction and completion of the remaining works for one (1) block of Klinik Kesihatan (Jenis 6), three (3) blocks of Quarters comprising six (6) residential units, and ancillary buildings in Long Busang, Sarawak. The development aims to enhance healthcare services and provide essential accommodation for medical personnel serving the surrounding rural communities.
